How much time will this require? Am I signing up for a fulltime job?
We teach you how to build a sustainable home with systems and processes that do not require a lot of time and energy. As with any business, there is effort and nominal costs required to get started, but past that you should be able to run sober living homes without spending 8 hours a day there yourself.
In fact, wehave several students who have started homes while being in a different state, and one student who even started a home in the US while living in a different country!
Will housing people in recovery mean I should expect more damage to my home
We get this question a ton and the truth is there is no more risk of damage to your home than any other real estate model. The people who live in our homes are determined to rebuild their lives. They are not forced to live with us, and there isn’t a court order for it. They simply want to live in a drug and alcohol free environment. This results in a mutually beneficial relationship that sees the homes regularly maintained, constantly cleaned as our residents contribute back to the house by doing chores daily, and free of drugs and alcohol.
